Mary is born in 1828, in Doddinghurst, daughter of John Littlechild and Sarah (nee Lagden).
In the 1851 census she is aged 21 and has her first child George; married to John Cumbers; who appears to be her cousin.
In 1861 she is shown as 31, which suggests a birth date of 1830.
In 1871, she shows as aged 41, living at Brick House Farm, Shenfield.
In 1881, when John is now t the Lion & Lamb, Brentwood; there is no sign of Mary. This suggest she may have mort between 1871 and 1881.
Mary married John Cumbers, son of Yeoman George Cumbers and Susanna, in 1849 in St Dunstan, Stepney. (John Cumbers was born about 1830 in Doddinghurst and was christened on 28 Feb 1830 in Doddinghurst.)
