George is born in 1850, and is 8 months in the 1851 index for Doddinghurst In 1866, he receives a legacy from his uncle Richard Thomas Lagden of £50, along with brothers William & John. His later wife, Elizabeth Lagden receives a similar amount at the same time. I guess this sets them up to purchase Halfway House. He is 21 in 1871, living in Shenfield at his parents farm. In 1873, he marries his cousin, Elizabeth Lagden. Farmer in 'Halfway House' South Weald in 188I. Elizabeth, his wife dies in 1881. By 1891 he has moved to Mountnessing and appears to have a new wife, Anne Marie. He is still a farmer, and is at Woolwards farm. They marry about 1887. In 1901, George & Annie, aged 50 and 41 are still at Woolwards farm. George is a Farmer still. In 1911 living at High St Mountnessing Brentwood with Annie. He is a Farmer aged 60

George next married Elizabeth Lagden, daughter of Yeoman Jeremiah Lagden and Hannah, on 6 Feb 1873 in South Weald. (Elizabeth Lagden was born about 1843 in South Weald, christened on 13 Aug 1843 in South Weald and was buried on 22 Oct 1881 in South Weald.)
