In the 1851 index, RG1704/84 they are all shown as Waltham Holy Cross. David is shown as aged 54.
In 1861 census, aged 64 and born in Harlow; there is a 14 year old Mary Ann, born in Epping who is a grand daughter living with them; at Bowtells Farm. A farm of 67 acres and 1 man employed

In the 1871 census, showing as Lelllechilds, living in Holyfield. David is now shown as aged 75.

David married Mary Abrahams on 11 May 1824 in Waltham Abbey. (Mary Abrahams was born in 1797 in Magdalen Laver.)
