James Evans
- Born: 1834, St Brides, Middx
- Marriage: Mary A
General Notes:
In 1851, there is an entry for Elizabeth Evans (widow) and sons John & James. John is a printer, and James is a printers lad. I think I have found another link. He is living with brother John, and widowed mother Elizabeth at 2 Stephens Street, Southwark in Surrey He is aged 17.
[In 1861, they are living at 9 Smith Street, St Pancras, Marylebone with two young daughters, he is shown as a Printer, but born in Salisbury, Wilts] - not sure ABOUT THIS ENTRY Incidentally, St Bride's is in Fleet Street, hence the possible print connection In 1881, living at 115 Blake Road, Camberwell. He is aged 47 and a Printer. In 1891, aged 57, a widow living with his married daughter, Mary Ann Geddes and my grandfather (Alfred J Evans) whom I never knew. James is a Printers machine minder.
James married Mary A. (Mary A was born in 1836 in St Saviours, London and died before 1891.)
