   Another name for John was John Smith.

  General Notes:

The seven children shown are all from the Great Tey parish records, and all show in the 1841 census. There are also four children recorded to a James and Maria Beard, Sawyer - whereas this James is a husbandman. I cannot find these listed in 1841 and therefore think these children belong to a different family.

John married Maria Green, daughter of George Green and Mary, on 14 Oct 1819 in Aldham. (Maria Green was born in 1799 in Great Tey, christened on 28 Apr 1799 in Great Tey and was buried after 1861.)
