Kenneth Wilding

 General Notes:
My father, Ken , was born at 61 Marks Road in 1924. He went to school at Mawneys Road school; and was eligible to join the Royal Navy near the end of the second wolrld war. He saw service in several destoyers (more to follow).
After the war, he worked with British Rail as a station person, and then moved into the travel industry, working for Wayfarers, in London for up to 25 years. Around 1973, the company laid off many long-term workers, and he spent some time with the travel side of BP before ending his working life with Thomas Cooke in the Strand.
My parents met at the Methodist Trinity youth club, Romford; and were married in 1948 at St Andrews church, London Road, Romford.
Kenneth married Living Evans, daughter of Alfred John Evans and Julia Ellen Wickham, on 10 Jul 1948 in St Andrews Romford.
