bullet  General Notes:

The BMD definitely shows a marriage of Henry Pain and Mary Ann Lagden in 1870; but I am not convinced they are living together immediately.
He is shown as a Dealer from Navestock at his marriage
In 1871, he is a boarder, aged 23, in St Ives, Huntingdon. He is shown as married, and probably alongside his father Henry, and others of the family. They are all Cattle dealers.
I presume they are there to buy cattle, as the market must be in London, which is considerably closer to South Weald.
In 1881, aged 34, a Cow Dealer from Noak Hill

Henry married Mary Ann Lagden, daughter of Yeoman Jeremiah Lagden and Hannah, on 3 Nov 1870 in South Weald. (Mary Ann Lagden was born about 1844 in South Weald.)

bullet  Marriage Notes:

Mary Ann is 26, and Henry Pain is 24 when they marry. He is from Navestock.
Both their parents are farmers.
