bullet  General Notes:

Thomas was a publican at the White Horse, Cate's Corner/Market Street, Saffron Walden between 1848 and 1862 at least.
In 1841, he was a farmer at Cowlas Hall, Radwinter although Ralph Unwin is here in 1855 Kellys directory. Living with them in 1841, is a Lydia Skipper, aged 15 - who is possibly Janes daughter or niece.
In 1846, he is still at Cowlas Hall.
In 1848, he was a publicanin Cates Corner, Saffron walden.
In 1851, they appear to show on the Debden census.
In 1861, they are living in Saffron Walden with five children.

Thomas married Jane Skipper, daughter of ?? Skipper and Unknown, on 17 Jun 1830 in Lt Chesterford. (Jane Skipper was born about 1798 in Weston, Suffolk and died in Sep 1844 in Saffron Walden.)

bullet  Marriage Notes:

In presence at the marriage are Henry Welch & Mary Welch. Interestingly, there are two other Skippers in the area, both born in Weselton about the same time, so I have attributed them as brothers, i.e. Henry and Edward.
