My grandnother. She is born in Whalebone Lane, Dagenham.
In 1901 she is listed as Maud Ethel, not to be confused with her elder sister Edith Maud, and aged 5 years. The family is living in Whalebone Lane, Dagenham
In 1911, Ethel is a 15 year old domestic servant at 44 Wellwood Road Goodmayes Essex, the home of Francis Wiliam Mann and family.
At her marriage in 1919, aged 23, she shows her address as 26 Drummond Road, Romford. This is the address that Roberts brother Frederick Wilding is living, and could be for convenience as a Parish address. I have been informed that they lived with Frederick for some time after their marriage.
Sometime after marrying they appear to have lived their entire life in Marks Road, Romford. They are at 61 Marks Road, Romford by 1948 when their only son Ken is born; moving up and down the road between different houses, and finally at 25 Marks Road by 1960 until their deaths in 1970 and 1973.
Ethel married Robert Wilding, son of William Wilding and Mary Ann Cole, on 1 Jun 1919 in St Andrews, Romford. (Robert Wilding was born on 6 Apr 1889 in Galleywood Common, Chelmsford and died on 29 Apr 1970 in Romford.)
In presence of sister Ethel May Littlechild. A bootmaker living at 61 Marks Road and 26 Drummond Road respectively. Profession of both fathers is carman.
