Caroline Brown

Ah, the 1861 census of Ashfield, Suffolk shows Caroline and her brother Henry (both Brown) aged 5 and 3 respectively. They are the daughter and son of Henry and Sophia Brown. Where does the Ruffles name come in? Well, there is also an 13 year old son Arthur Ruffles, So, this is pure supposition, as usual, but I reckon Sophia is a Ruffles, has a son Arthur, then marries Henry, then has two other children.
In 1871, we find Henry, Sophia and Caroline living in Ashfield Road, Cretingham and amazingly on the same page of census is the Caroine Ruffles I have been looking for.
Both Carolines are aged 15 and born in Ashfield.
