In 1840, at the birth of Charles William, he is a Jobber from Barkingside
In 1841, he can be found in Barkingside, aged 20 with his wife Mary and first son, Charles. He is noted as Charles Junior, and a few pages earlier on the census is a Charles Senior (probably his father?).
In 1861, living in Chadwell Heath, a Dealer in Hay & straw - RG9/1069/69

Charles married Marian. (Marian was born about 1821 in Barkingside.)
