Grace Smith

Grace Smith is shown as the single parent for all her children, but no accompanying notes are attached until later in the Parish records, the Beard family are often mentioned as a possible Smith, and a reference to a Smith wedding refers to a Beard christening.
In 1841, I have found Grace living in Aldham aged 74, which suggests a birth year of 1767. This would fit in with the earliest birth I have of 1785 at the age of 18.
This Grace is a mystery with the Beard link at the moment.
The lst birtb I have found is Sarah, in 1806, In Great Tey whereas the earler births were all registered in Aldham.
She does not appear in the 1851 index for Lexden, therefore presumed mort.
The father of all children are probably William Beard (much new information supplied by Samantha Edwards - with references to Parish Records wher I can add them).
At her burial she is stated as aged 74
Grace married William Beard Not Married. (William Beard was born in 1761 in Great Tey.)
