Thomas is 40 in 1841, and 58 in the 1851 census, which is generally more accurate. In both, he is living in Chingford, at Chingford Green.
In 1851, he is living in the 'Front Tenement' in Chingford Green whilst his son Edward is in the 'Back Tenement'. He is listed as 'Formerly Labourer'.

Thomas married Ann Barrett, daughter of William Barrett and Unknown, on 12 Oct 1818 in Waltham Holy Cross. (Ann Barrett was born about 1803 in Waltham Holy Cross.)
