Mary Thomas was a minor when she married Henry. Her father Richard was at the marriage and gave consent, according to the marriage record. I am more inclined to trust parish records, rather than IGI, although the parish records are not always perfect
There is an entry in the IGI of a Mary Thomas, born in 1740, in Doddinghurst to parents John Thomas and Elizabeth??
They have various children, e.g. Mary who is born in 1760 in Doddinghurst, then the next few children are christened in South Weald; i.e. Henry in 1762, Hannah in 1764, Richard in 1765, Elizabeth in 1768, Rebecca in 1769 and Susannah in 1771. Later by 1779, Sarah is shown as born in Doddinghust.
Mary married Henry Lagden, son of ?? Lagden and Unknown, on 23 Jan 1760 in Doddinghurst. (Henry Lagden was born about 1735 and died in 1810.)
