George Duke

Living in High Street, saffron Walden in 1841. Emma Welch, aged 13 is a female servant.
In 1846 he is listed as a grocer in Radwinter. There is also a George Duke listed as a grocer & draper in Saffon Walden at this time. I wonder if he owns two stores.
By 1855, the Kellys directory does not show the Radwinter entry, but there is still a George Duke showing in Saffron Walden.
There are two entries in the SEAX online database at the ERO about court indictments by a George Duke against:
1) Indictment of Sarah Hills, for defrauding George Duke, shopkeeper in 1837, and
2) Draft indictment of Mary Ann Saunders, for obtaining cloth from George Duke by false pretences in 1850
George married Mary Welch, daughter of Thomas Welch and Mary Littlechild, on 16 May 1832 in St Marys Lt Chesterford. (Mary Welch was born in 1803 in Lt Chesterford, christened on 20 Nov 1803 in Lt Chesterford and died in 1864.)

George is mentioned as being from Saffron Walden. In presence are Anne Welch and a Henry whose surname I cannot read.
